Be happy Digimon fans, Bandai Namco has announced Digimon Alysion, a free-to-play digital trading card game set to launch on iOS and Android platforms. The announcement was made during the recent Digimon Con livestream. In this new game players will construct decks featuring characters from the expansive Digimon universe.
Beyond traditional card battles, the game offers an immersive story mode and the nostalgic experience of raising virtual pets reminiscent of classic Tamagotchi devices. The teaser trailer introduces Kanata Hondo, the game’s protagonist, alongside her Digimon partner, Gemmon, hinting at rich narratives and engaging gameplay.
This announcement comes after previous mobile endeavors by Bandai Namco, such as Digimon ReArise and Digimon: Source Code, which faced challenges in gaining widespread traction. However, with the growing popularity of digital card games and a fan base, we may see Digimon Alysion getting some players in this really competitive niche.

While a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, Bandai Namco has open the official website and plans to conduct a closed beta in the coming months, it will be available on mobile, android and iOS and I hope Bandai get this time right with the Digimon franchise.
