Dragonest Games and Cipaishe Studio (词牌社工作室) has announced that Neo Artifacts is entering its next phase of development, with global pre-registration now live across Android and iOS (via official website). The game, known in China as Artifact Chronicle, is an anthropomorphized SRPG where historical relics and artifacts are reimagined as collectible characters.
Players will command squads of these “artifact girls” in tactical grid-based battles, combining gacha mechanics with strategic depth. The closed beta test began in December 2025 in Japan and Taiwan, offering early participants a chance to explore the game’s systems before its worldwide release later in 2026.
The game emphasizes turn-based combat on grid maps, where positioning, synergy, and skill timing are crucial. Each artifact character is designed with unique abilities tied to their historical or cultural background, adding narrative flavor to the tactical gameplay.
