The upcoming mobile game Virtual Circle (虚环) has unveiled a new trailer, giving players a deeper look into its unique blend of virtual idol management and strategic combat. Developed by CDD, the game is a “VTuber-focused” strategy title that places players in a world where real-life virtual idols are reimagined as powerful “battle idols” in an alternate universe. The trailer showcases extended gameplay footage, highlighting the game’s intricate combat sequences and narrative elements.
It is also officially confirmed that a closed beta test for the game is set to begin in January 2026. The game’s core loop involves players acting as detectives, collecting and training a team of virtual idols to compete in the VFC (Virtual Fighting Contest) while uncovering a larger mystery. The official Chinese website for the game describes it as a blend of simulation, strategy, and urban fantasy, where the characters are based on existing virtual idols.
The game has some nice and interesting thins like the intrigue of its cinematic and the auto-battle style gameplay. Virtual Circle seems to be a game which will be released global or at least could have English support. More news to come in next months.
