Vampire Crawlers is the next major project from solo dev Poncle, the studio behind the indie phenomenon Vampire Survivors. Noted in a interview in GameSpot, Vampire Crawlers is being developed by Poncle as a more experimental project. Studio founder Luca Galante has emphasized that the game is being made “for me, not to make everyone happy,” signaling a creative pivot that prioritizes innovation over simply replicating the formula of Vampire Survivors.
The spinoff will retain the roguelike survival core—players battling endless waves of enemies while upgrading abilities—but introduces turbo modifiers and wildcard systems that dynamically alter each run. This design aims to push replayability even further, with unpredictable scenarios and faster-paced gameplay.

Vampire Survivors, released in 2022, became a breakout success thanks to its minimalist design, auto-attacking mechanics, and addictive progression loop. It inspired a wave of similar titles such as Halls of Torment and 20 Minutes Till Dawn, cementing the “survivor-like” genre as a staple in indie and mobile gaming. Fans expect Vampire Crawlers to build on this foundation while offering a distinct identity.
While details remain limited, Poncle has confirmed that the game will be available on mobile, PC, and consoles in 2026, with no regional restrictions announced so far. Here is the trailer:
