The Destiny Child franchise, originally developed by Shift Up and known for its striking anime-inspired art style, is returning in a new form. Destiny Child: Idle RPG is being co-developed with Com2uS, aiming to deliver a more accessible gameplay.
Now, this was announced some time ago, however, we didn’t get any news about this, until now. According to early teasers, the game will feature fully illustrated characters, cinematic cut-ins, and a branching storyline, ensuring that even within the idle framework, players remain immersed in the world’s lore.
I don’t like so much Idles, unlike traditional gacha RPGs, the idle format emphasizes progression through automated battles, resource collection, and character development over time. This design choice mirrors the success of titles like AFK Arena and Idle Heroes.
Pre-registration campaigns are expected to roll out globally, with milestone rewards tied to community participation. While the official release date has not yet been confirmed, sources indicate a 2026 launch window, with simultaneous availability on Android and iOS. You can get more from Shift Up X account.
