Palworld Online has been officially announced for iOS and Android, with Garena stepping in to publish what it calls a “large-scale” multiplayer survival adventure game under license from Pocketpair. Yes, the same Palworld that made headlines for mixing adorable creatures with heavy artillery is now being reimagined for mobile—because clearly, the only thing missing from your phone was a llama with a rocket launcher.
Garena president Terry Zhao explained in the press release that the goal is to preserve the depth and freedom of the PC original while optimizing it for mobile play. “Palworld is a widely recognized IP, and we see an opportunity to bring the essence of the PC title to mobile in a way that encourages players to connect and venture together,” Zhao said. Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe added that Garena’s experience in global publishing and live operations makes them the right partner to deliver this new MMO-style adaptation. Translation: they know how to keep servers alive when millions of players are busy teaching penguins how to reload.
According to Garena, Palworld Online will feature a seamless open world where players can explore, collect Pals, and uncover new lore. Cooperative progression is central, with players able to form groups, build shared settlements, and tackle PvE or PvP challenges. Crafting and survival mechanics remain intact, but now in a shared ecosystem where Pals can automate production or defend bases.
The game is designed with mobile accessibility in mind, offering streamlined touch controls and one-tap options for construction and Pal deployment. In short, it’s the same chaotic sandbox, but now optimized for thumbs.
