Astrae Oratio launches in 2027 for iOS and Android

Astrae Oratio is officially scheduled to launch in 2027 for iOS and Android, with a PC release to follow, and it already looks like one of those interesting mix of a Visual Novel with RPG. The game will be a narrative-heavy experience where players are drawn into a world of divine conflict, moral dilemmas, and tactical combat. It’s the kind of premise that makes you wonder if you’re signing up for a game or a theology class disguised as entertainment. The announcement was made in the Tokyo Game Show 2026.

The development team emphasizes Astrae Oratio’s blend of story-driven progression and strategic battles, with a focus on choices that ripple through the narrative. Unlike the endless parade of gacha-driven RPGs, this one seems more invested in dialogue, lore, and the weight of decisions. The title itself—Latin for “Prayer to the Stars”—sets the tone: expect cosmic stakes, divine entities, and a lot of pondering about whether your character is saving the world or just rearranging the celestial furniture.

We finally get some gameplay, and it looks like a mix of turn-based combat with branching storylines, a formula that recalls Shin Megami Tensei or Fate/Grand Order. I like what I see, although we’ll have to see how deep the game is in terms of RPG combat and whether it has PvP options, etc. And, of course, whether it will be a gacha game.

Regional rollout hasn’t been detailed yet, though the announcement confirms mobile platforms first, which suggests accessibility is a priority. Whether Astrae Oratio will stagger its release across Asia before expanding globally remains unclear, but given the PC version is planned after mobile, international players may have to wait for full localization.
