Genshin Impact
Yes, I know, perhaps the most obvious and common option. But walking into Teyvat feels like stepping into a Studio Ghibli dreamscape that never ends. miHoYo’s juggernaut remains unmatched in marrying gorgeous open-world exploration with a roster of deeply written characters who easily qualify as waifu material. New regions arrive like bloomy DLC islands (hello, Fontaine and Sumeru), each packed with puzzles, boss fights, and story quests that pull back the curtain on your favorite heroes. The gacha system can sting your wallet if you’re hunting specifically for that one five-star, but pity timers and frequent free-pull events cushion the blow. Combat is slick: elemental combos turn battles into fireworks displays, and co-op mode lets you bring BFFs along for the ride. And the designs and animations are top.
