Japanese game developer Asobimo, known for titles like Toram Online, has announced the anime mobile RPG Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari – Ikai no Chigiri / Legacy of Another World (もののがたり 〜異界ノ契〜 縁を紡ぐバトルRP). Based on the anime adaptation of Onigunsou’s manga, the game is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS platforms. While a specific release date has not been confirmed, the game is expected to launch later in 2025.
Set in the supernatural world of tsukumogami—spirits inhabiting everyday objects—the game follows Hyōma Kunato, a young man from a family tasked with returning these spirits to the afterlife. Players will experience a blend of original storylines and narratives from the anime, engaging in command-based battles that require strategic team formations and skill combinations.
The game introduces an original character named Tobari, offering a fresh perspective within the Mononogatari universe. Players can interact with characters to build bonds, unlocking special stories and enhancing character abilities. Additional features include patrol missions in Kyoto, collectible support cards, and facilities that aid in character development.
Pre-registration milestones offer rewards such as in-game currency for gacha pulls and exclusive support cards. Interested players can check the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store for Android devices. More info on the official website mononogatari-game.com or the official X Account. Global release? There is no news about it but let’s remember that crunchyroll has the license to broadcast the Mononogatari anime, so it wouldn’t be completely outlandish to think of a global release.
