Petit Planet Opens Global Pre-Registration Ahead of Release

Petit Planet has officially set its launch window for Winter 2026, with HoYoverse confirming pre-registration is now open, because apparently farming stars and chatting with cosmic neighbors is the next frontier in cozy gaming.

The announcement came during gamescom via a special video where HoYoverse revealed the seasonal release window rather than a specific date. While that means players can’t yet circle a day on their calendars, the confirmation of Winter 2026 finally settles the year after months of speculation. Pre-registration is already live, with the official site tracking sign-ups in real time, a move that suggests HoYoverse is confident in building hype well ahead of launch.

Developed by HoYoverse, Petit Planet is described as a galactic life simulation RPG where players step into the role of a Planet Tender. Gameplay revolves around farming, building, and exploring the Starsea while interacting with Neighbors—quirky characters who populate the world. The design emphasizes relaxation and creativity, blending slice-of-life mechanics with exploration across diverse environments, from tea towns to bustling old streets.

The game made its international exhibition debut at gamescom, with a playable PC demo available from August 26–30 in Cologne. It shared space with other HoYoverse heavyweights like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, signaling the company’s intent to position Petit Planet as a major addition to its lineup rather than a side project

Regionally, the release is confirmed as global, with no staggered rollouts mentioned, ensuring simultaneous access across territories. You can pre-register in the iOS App Store for iOS devices, Google Play Store for Android and in the EPIC Store for PC Users.
