Jetpack Joyride Racing is an upcoming multiplayer racing spin-off of the Jetpack Joyride franchise, developed by Halfbrick Studios. Slated for release on August 27, 2025, for iOS and Android, the game reimagines Barry Steakfries’ high-octane adventures as a competitive, side-scrolling racer.
Players control customizable ships equipped with dual thrusters, racing through dynamic tracks filled with hazards, shortcuts, and power zones. The gameplay draws inspiration from Halfbrick’s earlier title Aero Racer, but adds new mechanics like “Wall Boosting” and a Special Ability system that recharges over time. Tracks are divided into three zone types: Slow Zones that reduce speed, Cutout Zones that disable turning, and Charge Zones that boost speed and recharge abilities faster.
Players can also unlock and personalize ships, trails, and drivers, and compete in real-time races against up to six players. A Party Mode allows friends to team up and race across themed circuits—from high-tech labs to underwater arenas. Jetpack Joyride Racing will integrate with Halfbrick+, offering additional features for subscribers, though most content remains accessible to all players.
