Joker Studio

Joker Studio is a game development subsidiary of NetEase Games, founded in 2018. The studio is best known for Identity V, a popular asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game that has built a dedicated global following with its gothic art style and cat-and-mouse gameplay. Joker Studio focuses on stylized, innovative gaming, blending unique art styles, engaging narratives, and competitive gameplay.

The studio is developing Sea of Remnants, a free-to-play ocean adventure RPG set to release in 2026. Players take on the role of an amnesiac sailor uncovering secrets beneath the waves, with ship-building, crew recruitment, dynamic factions, and hundreds of companions to recruit. Planned for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android, Sea of Remnants reflects Joker Studio’s ambition to move beyond its horror roots into large-scale open-world experiences.
