JOYCITY is a South Korean game developer and publisher with a long history in online and mobile gaming. The company has shipped a varied catalog across PC and mobile over the years, building experience both on original projects and on partnerships with major licensed IPs.

JOYCITY developed Resident Evil Survival Unit, a mobile strategy game that reimagines Capcom’s iconic survival horror franchise through real-time strategy and base management. Distributed by Aniplex, the game is set in a parallel timeline to Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, casting players as a test subject who awakens in a derelict hospital and must build and defend a mansion-like base against waves of infected. Familiar faces such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine appear alongside original characters, with artist Yoshitaka Amano contributing an unsettling creature design.
