Bandai Namco and developer Ganbarion have officially announced the global release of Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra, a free-to-play team-based battle game launching on September 9, 2025 for PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android. The title marks a major shift for the franchise, introducing 4v4 multiplayer combat with strategic roles and real-time action.
Players will choose from iconic Dragon Ball characters and assign them to one of three roles—Damage, Tank, or Technical—each offering distinct tactical advantages. The game emphasizes team coordination, objective control, and power scaling throughout each match. New cinematic and character trailers, including a spotlight on Cell (Perfect Form), showcase the game’s high-energy presentation and customizable finishers.

That’s good news. Gekishin Squadra aims to appeal to both longtime Dragon Ball fans and competitive multiplayer enthusiasts. The game’s official launch will be accompanied by seasonal events and ranked modes, with updates planned post-release. They released a new trailer, and you can pre-register now in the iOS App Store, Google Play Store and PC Steam.
