Anime fans it is your time. One Piece: Ambition, a new 3D competitive fighting game based on the hit anime and manga series One Piece is gearing up for its final beta test in China on September 26, 2024. The game is being developed by Tencent’s MoreFun Studios.
This limited-time beta test, called the Dream Chaser Final Test, will support cross-platform play, allowing players to experience One Piece moments in a nice high-quality adaptation. The test is open only to players in China, with no global release date announced yet. That is the bad part.
As far I know the content of One Piece: Top Ambition is quite extensive and can be broadly divided into two sections: PVE and PVP. The PVE portion in the current version features modes like Story Mode, Sea Expedition, Squad Adventure, Mirror World, Bounty Competition, and Treasure Trial. On the PVP side, players can participate in casual matches or ranked competitions, where they face off against AI opponents or similarly skilled players to earn exclusive PVP points and rewards.
The game requires high-end devices, including a Snapdragon 865 processor or higher for Android and A12 or above for iOS. A global launch is expected in the future, potentially in 2025. If interested in the chinese edition, you can check the TapTap page or the official website where you can find links for the Beta Test.
