Heaven Hells announced in Korea, Dante’s Divine inspired RPG

At a press conference held in Seoul, Korean developers unveiled Heaven Hells, a mobile RPG inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. The game reimagines the poet’s descent through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven as a layered combat system, where players traverse metaphysical realms in real-time battles. The game will launch on Android and iOS later this year, with voice-acted story arcs and a unique “Realm Shift” mechanic.

Players assume the role of a “Warden,” guiding souls through moral trials and tactical skirmishes. Each realm—Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso—offers distinct buffs and debuffs, encouraging strategic movement between layers mid-battle. Korean forums like Ruliweb are already dissecting the game’s symbolic UI and comparing its mechanics to Heaven×Inferno, a 2016 title by tri-Ace that also explored divine warfare.

The developers emphasized that Heaven Hells is not just a combat RPG but a narrative experience. Players will face ethical dilemmas, unlock allegorical companions, and reshape their journey based on choices. The first announcement came last year, for now, we know localization for English and Japanese markets is underway, with a closed beta expected in Q4 2025.
