NTE represents Hotta Studio’s attempt to expand beyond the fantasy landscapes of Tower of Fantasy into a more contemporary, urban supernatural theme. The game emphasizes cross-platform play, multilingual support, and voiceovers in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Its design philosophy appears to merge the social exploration of titles like Genshin Impact with the narrative depth of Persona, offering players both combat and story-driven progression.
