Pokémon Champions – New competitive Pokémon game for mobile

This one is gonna be a hit. The Pokémon Company has officially unveiled its new game: Pokémon Champions, a new cross-platform RPG slated for release in 2026 on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. The game introduces a fresh take on Pokémon battles, blending traditional turn-based mechanics with real-time strategy elements and cooperative multiplayer features.

Set in the newly revealed Champia Region, players will form teams of three Pokémon and engage in dynamic 3v3 battles against AI and other trainers. The game emphasizes team synergy, allowing players to trigger combo moves and unlock special abilities based on Pokémon pairings. Early footage showcases a sleek interface optimized for both mobile and console play, with seamless cross-save functionality.

Unlike previous mobile entries, Pokémon Champions is designed with esports potential, featuring ranked seasons, live tournaments, and spectator modes. According to Japanese outlet Famitsu, the game will include regional qualifiers and global championships, with support for controller and touchscreen inputs. The Pokémon Company has also confirmed that the game will receive monthly updates, adding new Pokémon, story chapters, and seasonal events.

Pre-registration is expected to open in Q4 2025, with a closed beta planned for select regions including Japan, the US, and Germany. Players who sign up early will receive exclusive in-game items such as starter packs, rare Pokéballs, and limited-edition avatars. More details will be shared via the game’s official site and social media channels.
