Netmarble has announced that The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, the free-to-play open-world ARPG based on Nakaba Suzuki’s hit manga and anime, will now launch in March 2026 instead of the previously scheduled January 28. The delay comes after the closed beta test revealed significant areas for improvement, with developers citing feedback that was “far more extensive and in-depth than anticipated.” The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.
In this new game, unlike earlier titles such as Grand Cross, which leaned heavily on gacha mechanics, Origin emphasizes open-world exploration, real-time combat, and narrative-driven quests. Players will traverse Britannia, encountering familiar characters like Meliodas, Elizabeth, and Ban, while engaging in dynamic battles that feature dodge, burst, and combo systems.

The closed beta highlighted issues with controls, UI/UX, and combat responsiveness, prompting Netmarble to refine movement, targeting, and adventure guidance. Improvements to exploration convenience, such as better key mapping and reduced gameplay fatigue, are also planned for the March release.
Regionally, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is confirmed for a global release, though beta testing has been limited to select regions. More info on their official X/Twitter account or their official Discord Server.
