Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a brand-new mobile strategy game based on Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, has been officially announced by Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation. Co-developed in close collaboration with Capcom, the game reimagines the Resident Evil universe as a real-time strategy experience optimized for iOS and Android platforms.
Unlike traditional entries in the series, Survival Unit shifts the focus from third-person horror to tactical gameplay, where players command elite squads in a world ravaged by bioterror. The game promises to retain the franchise’s signature tension and atmosphere, while introducing new mechanics tailored for mobile strategy fans.
The title will be released globally, including in Japan, South Korea, North America, Europe, and Asia, with full localization support. An online showcase event is scheduled for July 10, 2025, at 10:00 PM UTC (July 11, 7:00 AM JST), where more gameplay footage and development insights will be revealed.
