Black Wings Game Studio

Black Wings Game Studio is a video game developer headquartered in China and a subsidiary of Perfect World Games, the Beijing-based developer and publisher behind titles such as Tower of Fantasy and Neverness to Everness. The studio’s credits include Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X), a turn-based RPG developed in collaboration with Atlus’s P-Studio and published by Perfect World Games, Iwplay World, Atlus, and Sega. P5X is a spin-off of Persona 5 set in a parallel universe, retaining the series’ signature social simulation and dungeon-crawling mechanics while introducing a new protagonist and Phantom Thieves. Gameplay keeps the classic turn-based combat of Persona 5 with Persona summons, Gun Attacks, and All-Out Attacks, alongside a gacha pull system for acquiring new characters. The game officially released on June 26, 2025, in Japan, North America, and Europe, with a Southeast Asia launch following on July 3, 2025.
