About Webzen
Webzen is a South Korean video game developer and publisher founded in 2000 and based in Seongnam. The company made its name with MU Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game launched in 2001 that became one of the most successful early Korean MMORPGs and grew into a long-running franchise of sequels and mobile entries.
It has since applied that online RPG expertise across platforms and genres. One such project is TERBIS, a 2D side-scrolling action RPG with anime-inspired visuals and real-time, formation-based combat. Set in a fantasy world threatened by dimensional rifts, the game lets players recruit heroes, explore dungeons and battle powerful enemies to restore balance. TERBIS was first showcased at Summer Comiket 2024 and is planned for PC and mobile.
