Alchemy Stars China Ends Service with Offline Version and Final Story

The Chinese edition of Alchemy Stars got an End of Service (EOS) announcement, with the game set to conclude its online operations on January 25, 2025. However, developer Tencent is softening the blow with a thoughtful approach: a final story update, 1,000 free pulls for all players, and the release of an offline version to preserve the core experience.

The offline version will allow players to continue exploring the main story, side quests, and end-game modes, though event content appears to be excluded. Tencent has also introduced a currency transfer option, letting players convert any leftover in-game funds to other Tencent titles at a predetermined ratio. This gesture, combined with the concluding story update, ensures that players can bid farewell to the game in a meaningful way.

The community has responded positively, with many praising the effort to maintain accessibility to Alchemy Stars after its EOS. Fans are also hopeful that a similar approach will be taken should the global version face closure in the future, when the time comes, right now, Global Edition is still going on.
