Korean publisher Neptune Studio, in collaboration with developer LEIYAN GAME, is set to release Anchor Panic, a sci-fi-themed gacha RPG, on April 23, 2025, for Android and iOS devices in South Korea. This new game combines strategic turn-based combat with a rich narrative set in a post-invasion world.
Set a century after a catastrophic interdimensional war, Anchor Panic follows the Resistance, a stateless organization combating renewed threats from humans, machines, and mutants. Players assume the role of a Linker, commanding a squad of agents to restore balance in a fractured world. The game features a diverse roster of characters, each with unique abilities and attributes, allowing for strategic team compositions. Combat is enhanced by dynamic camera controls and real-time action elements, so, a classic mix in the genre.
Beyond battles, Anchor Panic offers a housing system where players can interact with SD versions of their agents, adding a layer of personalization and respite from combat. The game comes without a PC Client, and it was already available on Japan where it got some mixed reviews.
Let’s see how it does in Korea, and if it has any success, maybe we can see it with a global launch soon. Pre-registration is currently open, with rewards including the SSR agent Raven for early participants. Interested players can sign up through the official website, the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
