Athena Crisis, a modern-retro turn-based strategy game from indie publisher Null Games and developer Nakazawa Tech, officially launches today across multiple platforms, including iOS, and Android. Inspired by classics like Advance Wars and XCOM, the game combines nostalgic gameplay with modern mechanics, offering fans a fresh take on the genre.
By the description: in this game, players command over 40 unique units across ground, air, and naval battles in a variety of environments. Athena Crisis features a robust single-player campaign with 40+ maps, as well as online multiplayer modes supporting up to seven players. Additionally, a map and campaign editor allows users to create and share content, enhancing replayability.
PR says founder Nakazawa drew inspiration from Advance Wars, aiming to evoke the same challenging yet fun experiences. The game offers seamless cross-device play with automatic syncing and is Steam Deck Verified.
Now, the game (official website) is available for purchase (19.99$), and you can play it in Android or iOS… via Browser. I don’t know if its going to have a native App, but now limited to browser only.
