Pre-registration is now live for Awaken Astral Blade on iOS, as Chinese developer Dark Pigeon (北京黑鸽科技有限公司) prepares to bring its sci-fantasy Metroidvania-style action RPG to mobile devices in late September 2025. Originally released for PC in 2024, the game follows Tania, a bionic girl sent by her creator, Dr. Herveus, to investigate a missing research team on the perilous Horace Island.
The mobile version retains the fast-paced platforming, combo-driven combat, and upgrade systems that defined the original. Players will harness Aether, a mysterious energy source, to unlock new abilities and customize Tania’s combat style. The game’s dark setting is balanced by moments of charm—yes, you can pet cats—and exploration becomes smoother as players grow stronger.
While Awaken: Astral Blade may not offer the slow, gothic exploration of Symphony of the Night, its emphasis on speed, positioning, and real-time upgrades makes it a compelling entry in the mobile Metroidvania genre.
