Tencent and Bandai Namco are releasing One Piece: Ambition (航海王：壮志雄心), a new mobile game based on the beloved anime series. Sadly, this release on December 19, is limited to China. This side-scrolling beat-em-up offers a mix of immersive storytelling, combat, and exploration. Pre-download is already available, giving players a chance to prepare for their next adventure in the world of One Piece, at least in Asia.
Players will relive iconic moments from the anime as they sail from the East China Sea in search of treasure, encountering beloved characters along the way. Each character is equipped with unique moves, skills, and backstories, adding depth to the gameplay. PvE modes such as Story Mode, Sea Expedition, and Squad Adventure immerse players in the series’ world, while competitive PvP features allow for fair, skill-based matches where strength reigns supreme.
Although the game boasts visually stunning graphics and extensive content, it aligns with the pay-to-win model common in Chinese games, where spending often determines success.
