Black Beacon announces End of Service, shutting down in New Year’s Eve

The Sci-Fi Action RPG Black Beacon is set to conclude its global journey, with publisher Glohow announcing the imminent End of Service (EOS) for the game’s servers. The unfortunate news, announced via Reddit Official Board, confirms that the game will cease operations on December 31, 2025. This closure comes less than a year after the title’s global release in April 2025, marking an unexpectedly short lifespan for the high-production gacha game.

Developed by Mingzhou Network Technology, Black Beacon captivated early adopters with its unique setting, which blended mythology and sci-fi in a post-apocalyptic world centered on the mysterious Tower of Babel. Players assumed the role of the “Seer,” leading a team of visually striking characters through a dynamic quarter-view action combat system.

Despite the strong aesthetic and engaging mechanics, the title’s run was significantly hampered by technical difficulties, including launch-day bugs and subsequent development delays related to crucial content like the Version 1.3 update, leading to persistent community frustration.

The publisher’s official statement cited “operational difficulties related to the global service” as the unavoidable reason for the shutdown. The transition phase is immediate: all new downloads and in-app purchases of the premium currency, Rune Stones, were disabled as of November 17, 2025. The final server closure will occur on New Year’s Eve, followed by the permanent termination of all official social media channels and the website on January 2, 2026.
