Good news for RPGand Final Fantasy fans, The National Press and Publication Administration of China (such a long name) has approved a new batch of imported games, including an unannounced mobile version of Final Fantasy XIV titled Final Fantasy XIV: Crystal World (最终幻想14:水晶世界). As far we know, the game will be operated by Beijing Borun Zhijia Technology, a subsidiary of Tencent.
There are some rumors that Final Fantasy XIV: Crystal World is being developed by Square Enix and Tencent’s Lightspeed Studios. Although neither company has officially commented yet, they have been working together sometime, a “strategic alliance” as their PR team says.
