Kuroko’s Basketball: Street Rivals – Pre-Registration Opens in SEA

LMD Games has announced Kuroko’s Basketball: Street Rivals (黒子のバスケ Street Rivals), a mobile basketball title based on Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s globally popular manga and anime series. The game is designed as a real-time 3D basketball experience, allowing players to relive the intense matches of Seirin High and the Generation of Miracles. This is the SEA edition of the successful Japanese release.

Development of Street Rivals emphasizes authenticity and fan service. Players can recruit and train characters such as Tetsuya Kuroko, Taiga Kagami, and Ryota Kise, each equipped with their signature skills faithfully recreated from the anime. The game features multiple modes, including Story Mode, PvP online matches, and tournament play, all enhanced by original anime voiceovers.

Compared to similar adaptations like Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, which focuses on turn-based mechanics, Street Rivals leans into real-time competitive gameplay, aiming to capture the fast-paced energy of basketball while retaining the anime’s dramatic flair. The title reflects the growing trend of anime sports franchises entering the mobile gaming market. The appeal lies in its fusion of narrative-driven storytelling with multiplayer, which could resonate strongly with fans of both sports games and anime adaptations.

Regionally, the game is confirmed for Southeast Asia only at launch, with localized servers and events tailored to SEA players. A global rollout is expected later, though monetization and event schedules may differ depending on territory. Pre-registration is now live in Southeast Asia (SEA), in the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. The official launch is scheduled for March 11, 2026, though no global release date has yet been confirmed.
