Merge Maid Cafe – Isekai Story is a new game from the anime Isekai genre. Yes, one more. The game got a soft launch in the Philippines and in this new adventure, we got the role of a protagonist who wakes up in a dusty cafe with no memory of how they got there. Fortunately, two adorable maids, Kokomi and Aku, are ready to assist you as you clean up, renovate, and transform the rundown establishment into the ultimate maid cafe.
At the heart of the gameplay is a merge board where you combine items to craft tools for repairs and renovations. As you merge, the game’s chill soundtrack and the encouraging cheers from Kokomi and Aku create a relaxing atmosphere. While there’s an ever-present potential for paywalls, the absence of a gacha system ensures every maid encounter is attainable through gameplay. However, the kawaii charm masks an intriguing plot—maids mysteriously disappearing and a shadowy “Principal” pulling unseen strings hint at a deeper narrative.
Well, it is a simple game, with chibi type designs, full of puzzles and quite good to spend a fun time. For now it is limited to the SEA region (Google Play Store), specifically the Philippines. Will there be a global release? It is possible, it is not a game that needs a lot of licenses and we will surely see it with more global support.
