Metal Storm (Mecharasi) is a Mecha Robots strategy RPG, released in Japan

HK TenTree Games has officially launched Metal Storm (鋼嵐-メタルストーム) —also known as Mecharashi— a futuristic sci-fi strategy RPG, now available on Android and iOS in Japan. The game is based on the popular Front Mission IP, and puts players in the role of a commander, controlling customizable mechas known as STs in strategic battles. Players can modify their mechas’ appearance by painting parts, adding decals, and outfitting them with different weapons for a personalized experience.

Originally titled Front Mission 2089: Borderscape, the game was a collaboration between ZLONGAME, Black Jack Studio, and Square Enix before being rebranded as Mecharashi after a reported cancellation in 2022. Mecharashi had a limited release in China last year and went through early access phases in regions like Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Now localized for Japanese audiences, the game is launching under the name Metal Storm, although no global release has been confirmed.

Well, we will have to wait to see this game overseas. Meanwhile, if you have access to the Stores in Japan, give a try via the Google Play Store and App Store in Japan, remember the game has no english support.
