Ragnarok M: Classic is a new addition to the Ragnarok franchise from Gravity. Another one? Yes. The game has just launched its closed beta in the SEA region, offering a unique “shop-free” RPG experience. Unlike other mobile RPGs, Ragnarok M: Classic eliminates the traditional in-game shop, relying solely on Zeny, the game’s currency, to acquire items and upgrades. This move allows players to progress and access all features without spending real money, creating a nice F2P experience.
The game features six classic jobs with unique skill trees, a card crafting system, and a lifetime Monthly Pass that grants EXP boosts, exclusive items, and bonuses—all provided for free upon logging in. Ragnarok M: Classic includes an Offline Battle Mode, where players’ characters can continue to earn rewards even when not actively playing, and a “safe refinement system” that guarantees successful equipment upgrades up to +15. The card crafting system adds depth, letting players gather monster drops and materials to forge powerful cards each week.
Currently in beta on Google Play for Android and the iOS App Store for SEA players, Ragnarok M: Classic is slated for a full release on February 11, 2025, though official confirmation from Gravity is pending. We are still waiting for Ragnarok 3.
