Ragnarok 3 to Make Debut at Korea’s G-STAR 2024 as Successor to Ragnarok Online

Finally. Fans of the original Ragnarok and gentlemen over 40, be happy, GRAVITY is set to unveil Ragnarok 3, the latest MMORPG entry and spiritual successor to the beloved original, at Korea’s annual gaming event, G-STAR 2024. This announcement marks a big step forward for the franchise, which celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year. According to the initial reveal, Ragnarok 3 will feature enhanced graphics, a revamped soundtrack, and an extensive character development system that lets players personalize their gameplay with a broad range of job classes and skills.

Ragnarok 3 will also introduce large-scale PvP and GvG (guild vs. guild) modes, including epic 120-vs-120 battles, and will bring back a free trading system—a staple that harks back to the original game’s robust player economy. The showcase will also feature Project Abyss, another MMORPG under the Ragnarok IP, promising action-oriented gameplay where players can explore a new Yggdrasil world with customizable characters and automatic hunting features for passive character growth.

Now this is the successor to the original Ragnarok, but, there was a second one? Indeed. They had Ragnarok Online 2 Gate of the New World which got scrapped and then they went a different route. Now we have a lot of ragnarok games (Ragnarok Monster World Tower Defense, The Ragnarok, Ragnarok X in Japan, Ragnarok:Rebirth, etc)… but none of these corresponded as the next big Ragnarok game.

I really want this game.
