Reverse Collapse F – Sunborn announces new co-op shooter

Sunborn Network, best known for Girls’ Frontline and Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, revealed that Reverse Collapse F (逆向坍塌:F) will be a multiplayer co-op shooter built in Unreal Engine 5, designed to deliver cinematic visuals and large-scale tactical combat.

Unlike the studio’s earlier titles, which leaned heavily on strategy and gacha mechanics, this new project emphasizes team-based shooting, environmental destruction, and narrative-driven missions. The announcement highlights Sunborn’s intent to diversify its portfolio, moving into genres traditionally dominated by AAA studios.

The game is set within the Girls’ Frontline universe, expanding on the lore of the “Bakery Girl” storyline. Players will engage in cooperative missions against AI-controlled enemies, with mechanics that blend cover-based shooting, squad tactics, and character progression. Early previews suggest a focus on immersive environments, destructible terrain, and dynamic weather systems, all powered by UE5’s advanced rendering capabilities.

Compared to similar co-op shooters like The Division 2 or Rainbow Six Extraction, Reverse Collapse F distinguishes itself with its anime-inspired aesthetic and narrative depth, appealing to fans of Sunborn’s existing franchises while targeting a broader shooter audience.

Sunborn confirmed that Reverse Collapse F is planned as a global release in 2028, with localization across multiple languages. They also mention a new game, Girls’ Frontline: Blue Oath, developed by Hecate Studio. More news to come.
