Project NET – New game expands the Girls Frontline Universe

Great news for gacha gamers. Sunborn Network has announced Project NET, a 3D third-person shooter set in the Girls’ Frontline universe. The game is being developed by the Hecate Team (new team in Sunborn) and scheduled for its first technical test from January 9 to January 16, 2025, limited to Southeast Asia, covering Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Unlike the strategy-focused gameplay of its predecessor, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, Project NET will be a third-person shooter. The story immerses players in higher-dimensional battlefields where world lines teeter on collapse. A recently released technical test preview video showcases the game’s characters, environments, and action-packed gameplay. While early footage reveals some rough edges, the technical test will allow developers to refine the experience ahead of a wider release.
