Subway Surfers City is the new runner in town – soft launch in select regions

It seems that Subway Surfers City is already a reality. One of the most successful games to ever touch the mobile world has a new installment, sequel, or spin off, I really don’t know.

But it’s a new game in the same franchise that will be released on a limited basis in some regions and it looks pretty cool yet at the same time quite familiar. Maybe it’s best to stick to the successful formula. Subway Surfers City, the latest in the hit endless runner series, has received a soft launch in select regions on both Android and iOS platforms.

The gameplay in Subway Surfers City feels familiar with the same coin collection and running mechanics that all we know, but now set in a vibrant new environment. The core story remains: you’re escaping from the Guard and Dog, running to save yourself. However, now you can explore lively districts, collect XP, uncover hidden secrets by finding hard-to-reach Secret Stars, and upgrade characters and boards, each boasting unique abilities.

Subway Surfers City also supports offline play. The soft launch is now live, allowing players in select regions like Canada, Denmark, and the Netherlands to access the game on both Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and App Store. Details about the global release are yet to be announced.
