Indie game studio Denkiworks, in collaboration with publisher CRITICAL REFLEX, has officially announced TANUKI: Pon’s Summer, set for release in 2025 on Nintendo Switch. The game follows Pon, a lazy raccoon, as he works at a post office and attempts to rebuild a shrine in time for the Tanuki Festival by the end of summer.
In this cute action game, players control Pon as he delivers parcels around town on a BMX bike, performing tricks like jumping over rooftops. Along the way, Pon will make friends and participate in various activities such as baseball and fishing, earning items and rewards that help repair the shrine. The game’s world is inspired by real-life Japanese locations, including Kyoto and Aomori, with vibrant 3D graphics that capture the warmth of a hot summer. We can see the video below:
it looks good, simple, and nice, I like that kind of games. TANUKI: Pon’s Summer is a mix between action and exploration as players prepare for the festival by delivering letters, repairing the shrine, and immersing themselves in the town’s community. Switch seems to be the best option for this game, but we can have it on PC too via Steam.
