If you like vampires and visual novels, Vampire the Masquerade – Coteries of New York is a solid choice, now available for pre-registration. In this new entry in the Masquerade sague (from the polish studio Draw Distance), players can dive into a world of supernatural horror and social intrigue, where you can uphold the masquerade and step into the shoes of three distinct vampire clans.
This is a grim, gothic world. This narrative thriller lets you become one of the many vampires living covertly among ordinary humans. In this world, numerous vampire clans vie for influence while upholding a code of secrecy known as ‘the masquerade.’ The Vampire: The Masquerade franchise has a rich history in both media and gaming, and this game continues that legacy.
You can choose to play as a member of one of three vampire clans: the prestigious Ventrue, the artistic Toréador, or the rebellious Brujah. Each clan offers a unique perspective and storyline as you navigate the hidden underworld of New York and meet a diverse cast of characters. Although some might shy away from the term “visual novel,” I think it perfectly captures the immersive, story-driven experience this game promises.
