G Holdings has officially launched pre-registration for World Witches X (ワールドウィッチーズX) (Strike Witches), a new mobile action game based on the long-running World Witches multimedia franchise. Announced on July, 2025, the game is set to release later this year on iOS and Android, with a campaign offering tiered rewards based on registration milestones.
World Witches X features characters from across the franchise—including the 501st Joint Fighter Wing from Strike Witches and Brave Witches—in a fast-paced battle against the alien Neuroi. Players will command magical girls known as “Witches,” each with unique skills and voice lines, in a side-scrolling shooter format. The game promises original illustrations, new voice recordings, and simple controls for exhilarating combat.
The World Witches series, created by illustrator Fumikane Shimada and Projekt World Witches, has spanned anime, manga, novels, and games for over 15 years. World Witches X continues this legacy with a fresh take on the battle between humanity and the mysterious Neuroi. According to the Game Store description, the game will include multiple squadrons, strategic skill-based combat, and collectible content tied to the franchise’s rich lore.
Players who pre-register can earn in-game items such as gold, diamonds, gacha tickets, and a special Luminous Witches magic card, with all rewards unlocked if the campaign reaches 150,000 registrants. Registration is available via the official site, Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS, and platforms like LINE and Yoyaku Top 10.
