Studio LARGO and LINE Games have officially released Buried Stars for iOS, bringing the acclaimed mystery visual novel to mobile audiences for the first time, as the game is currently available other platforms. There are no news about Android.
Set in the aftermath of a collapsed survival audition show, Buried Stars traps contestants beneath rubble, forcing them to communicate through social media while unraveling a murder among them. The game blends 2D character illustrations with 3D environments, creating a cinematic atmosphere that supports its branching narrative and psychological tension.
Players must navigate dialogue choices, monitor in-game “Social Media” reactions, and uncover hidden truths through the “Timeline” system. Each decision influences the story’s progression, leading to multiple endings and character fates. The game features a powerful soundtrack and full voice acting in both Korean and Japanese, with performances by industry veterans such as Tetsuya Kakihara, Yoko Hikasa, and Park Sungtae.
The game is available via the App Store for $14.99, following its original launch on PlayStation, Switch, and PC via Steam between 2020 and 2021.
