Roco Kingdom World China release confirmed, global launch still pending

We finally got a date, Roco Kingdom World is set to launch in China on March 26, 2026. The game is being developed by MoreFun Studios, a Tencent subsidiary, and the date was announced during the studio’s 15th anniversary livestream. The game previously opened pre-registrations on iOS in China earlier this year, signaling strong anticipation among fans of the franchise.

The game is described as an open-world MMORPG where players take on the role of a freshman in the Roco Kingdom universe. Gameplay revolves around collecting, bonding, and battling with creatures called Rocos, which can also be ridden across expansive maps. This design blends Pokémon-style pet collection with open-world exploration reminiscent of Genshin Impact, offering both casual and competitive play.

The Roco Kingdom IP has a long history in China, originating as a children’s online game in the late 2000s before expanding into comics, films, and spin-offs. Roco Kingdom: World serves as a modern revival, aiming to capture nostalgia while appealing to new audiences with updated visuals and systems powered by Tencent’s infrastructure.

Importantly, Tencent has confirmed that the March 26 launch will be limited to China, with no global release date announced yet. However, industry watchers suggest that international expansion could follow if the domestic launch proves successful. You can get more update on their chinese official website.
