Aniimo is a new open-world creature catching game coming to Mobile in 2026

New Pawprint Studio and FunPlus, under their Kingsglory label, have officially unveiled Aniimo, a new upcoming free-to-play open-world action RPG set to launch in 2026 on Android and consoles (no news about iOS). The game was first revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. So far we know Aniimo introduces a creature-catching mechanic, with tons of exploration, evolution, and fusion-based combat into a visually stunning adventure.

Set in the mystical world of Idyll, players will befriend, train, and merge with creatures known as Aniimo, unlocking new abilities and transformations through the Twining system. Unlike traditional monster-catching games, Aniimo allows players to physically merge with their companions, altering their combat style, movement, and interactions within the world.

The game features dynamic environments, including ruins, forests, and evolving landscapes, ensuring that each playthrough feels fresh. Early previews highlight creatures like Emberpup, Budclaw, and Otti, each with distinct elemental traits and progression paths.

I know, while comparisons to Palworld and Pokémon are inevitable, Aniimo aims to carve its own identity, offering deep customization, strategic combat, and a rich fantasy world. A PC-exclusive closed beta will run for seven days, with sign-ups now open via the official website. Players who wants to test Aniimo can apply for early access, helping developers refine mechanics before the full release.
