Developed and published by Bael Japanese Studio, Blue Lock: Blaze Battle launched in 2024 as the first licensed mobile RPG adaptation of the Blue Lock franchise, is shutting down. The game combined soccer simulation mechanics with gacha-style character collection, allowing fans to recruit and train players from the manga and anime, including Isagi, Bachira, and Rin, while competing in tactical matches.
Despite initial enthusiasm, the game struggled to maintain momentum in a crowded mobile market. Devs announced via the official X account (@BLUELOCK_BLAZE) that all servers will shut down globally on March 30, 2026, with in-app purchases already disabled. Players are encouraged to use remaining currency and resources before the closure date. The announcement also confirmed that no further updates or events will be released, marking a definitive end to the project.
I see Blaze Battle as a missed opportunity: while the Blue Lock brand is strong, the game’s reliance on conventional gacha mechanics may have limited its appeal compared to more innovative sports RPGs. Still, for fans, it offered a rare chance to step into the competitive world of Blue Lock—and its closure leaves a gap that future adaptations may yet fill. And of course, we won’t get a Global Release after this. Unless somehow, some publisher buys the rights and the game.
