Giant publisher Com2uS has announced a revival of Destiny Child, the popular subculture RPG from Korean dev ShiftUp, through an upcoming idle RPG adaptation. Developed by Com2uS and Tiki Taka Studio, the new version is expected to retain the original’s character appeal—largely credited to its eye-catching Live2D animation—while bringing an accessible, idle format. This development will see Com2uS overseeing global publishing, marking a return for the game that shut down its original service in September 2023.
Originally launched in 2016, Destiny Child captivated audiences with its character designs and strong narrative. Despite the disappointment from fans when it ended last year, the new partnership with Tiki Taka Studio brings hope for a fresh take on the game. Com2uS commented that they aim to preserve the game’s unique character style and emotional tone, delivering an engaging idle RPG experience for both returning fans and new players.
With Com2uS at the helm, fans can expect Destiny Child to reach the global stage. The company’s track record, sustained by popular titles like Summoners War: Sky Arena, suggests a long lifespan for this project.
