Gui Long Chao (归龙潮) is a side scrolling game released a few days ago in China that looks very very good and that has been quietly making waves in the CN gaming market. As a highly polished and feature-packed gacha game, it blends stunning visuals, diverse gameplay, and deep customization to create a truly nice experience. Though it’s currently only available in China, the game’s quality and attention to detail have made it a must-try for gacha fans.
The visual design in Gui Long Chao is gorgeous. The 2D art is top, and the in-game city and side-scrolling sections are full of life and vibrant effects. The game boasts 17 characters, nine of which are 5-star rarities, while the 4-star characters are also well-designed and strong. Gui Long Chao offers a fast-paced, parkour-infused platforming experience. Players can double-jump, dash, and navigate through intricate maps filled with traps and boosters.
Combat is where Gui Long Chao truly shines. The game features three main character classes: DPS, Breaker, and Support. While healers exist, combat is designed to encourage aggressive, fast-paced action—break the boss’s defenses, then unleash your team’s skills for maximum damage. Boss battles are visually impressive and feature unique attack patterns and animations. The combat system has a good balance of strategy, allowing you to break shields, rotate through support skills, and unleash devastating combos.
The game offers a well-rounded experience. The variety of gameplay modes, paired with the stunning art and animation, makes this game one of the best gacha experiences available—despite it currently being CN-only. I really hope we get a global release for this one. For now, you can check it in Bilibili, TapTap, both in chinese. Or the official website, where you can download the PC client.
