The popular Chinese mobile strategy RPG Kalpa of Universe (天地の劫 封印の御剣) – Ten Chi Gou is making its way to Japan with a closed beta test scheduled for August 15, 2025. This long-awaited localization, announced by ZLONGAME and GameTree Entertainment, marks a significant step for the title’s expansion into new markets. The game, which has been available in China since 2021, is known in Japan as Tenchi Kaku and is slated for release on both PC and mobile platforms.
Kalpa of Universe (english name from the official website) is a turn-based tactical RPG that reinterprets a classic Chinese RPG series that originally launched in 1993. The mobile adaptation aims to deliver a complete chivalrous world infused with new chapters and updated technology. The game’s intricate grid-based combat and gacha system have been well-received by its existing player base, and Japanese players can now get their first look at the localized version.
Pre-registrations for the closed beta test are currently underway on the official website, with the beta period running from August 15 until a specified but yet-to-be-announced end date. Players in Japan have shown strong interest. While ZLONGAME has localized the game for the Japanese market, there has been no official word on a global release for English-speaking audiences.
