The ocean adventure game Dave the Diver (潛水員戴夫) is officially heading to mobile, with pre-registration now open in China. MintRocket will cooperate with XD to publish the mobile version, which will be a faithful port of the PC version, preserving the deep-sea exploration experience.
What do we know about this first mobile release? Unlike many mobile adaptations, Dave the Diver will maintain its buyout system, alleviating concerns about monetization disrupting gameplay. Players won’t need to worry about microtransactions like reviving their diver for a fee. The mobile version will also feature optimized controls and interface adjustments tailored for mobile devices, ensuring smooth gameplay for new and veteran divers alike.
While the game’s original PC content is being adapted for mobile, XD has noted plans for exclusive updates and new event content for the China server. What about a global release? The game is currently available on consoles and Steam, so, the only edition left was the mobile. I really hope we got the global release soon, but like many ports, the chinese market will get it first.
