Nintendo has officially launched Nintendo Music, a streaming app designed to bring the beloved soundtracks of its iconic games directly to iOS and Android devices. Exclusively available to Nintendo Switch Online members at no extra cost, the app offers an impressive library of music from top Nintendo franchises, including Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Metroid, and more.
The app allows users to stream or download music for offline listening and even customize track lengths for uninterrupted background listening. Nintendo Music’s user-friendly features include search filters by game title, track, and playlist name, as well as options to loop or extend tracks up to an hour. The app also allows users to hide tracks that might reveal game spoilers, preserving the thrill of hearing new music for players experiencing a game for the first time.
Well, Nintendo is known for guarding the rights to its properties fiercely. This in a way would explain why they were removing a lot of music on services like YouTube: To put it behind a subscription service in a standalone app. Lets see how this new app will do. Check it in the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
