Project 2/3 – New ARPG gets a Promotional video, Battle between time and dimensions

Chinese developer Diversity Game Studio has released the first official trailer for Project 2/3 (代号二杠三) (Codename 2/3), a visually compelling 2D open-world action RPG. Dubbed “Project 2/3,” this new game takes players into a world where time and dimension shift freely. The storyline centers on the player, an enigmatic traveler guided by the character Theseus, who traverses multiple worlds to rewrite the past, explore the future, and discover secrets of the universe.

Codename 2/3 gameplay seems to have a twist on conventional ARPG mechanics with its time-travel theme. The game’s standout feature is its ability to switch between 2D and 3D worlds, providing an exploration style that alters how players engage with different dimensions. Flora, a “floating city,” is the first region showcased, designed with Unreal Engine 5 to blend ancient and futuristic elements seamlessly.

We can’t see much of the game itself and what we can see is an art composition that could be any other game. Here we have a 7 minute video where we can see a lot of the art used in the game as well as some gameplay scenes. We can see that it still has a long way to go before a release, but maybe it will be an interesting game to follow. Ah, they’ll change the name for sure.
